In the 1950's dissatisfied with society, the Meader family moved to the isolated wilderness of Alaska, above the Arctic Circle, 250 air miles from the nearest road. They lived there for almost 20 years. After returning to society, Elaine Meader and her two daughters, Heather and Dawn have formed the Northern Light Legacy to preserve this wilderness heritage.

I went to a show at the green house last weekend (caveman, the pasties, & mt. gigantic) and thought of you, ryan. I miss you and hope all is well in the wilderness. Seeing the pics makes me remember how much I loved being in AK. I'll try to keep the snail mail coming. Oh, yeah, I made your curry dish the other night and the blackberries are coming soon. Think of you often :)
